This fried ravioli is a unique twist for a great winter nibble. Using Mrs Rogers Garlic and Italian Herb Crusting Crumbs, everyone will think that you have made these from scratch…but don’t tell them your secret! And of course the marinara sauce is wonderfully tasty so hope for some leftovers.
Cook the ravioli as per the packet or if making your own, boil for 2-3 minutes depending on the size. Set aside to cool.
Break the eggs into a shallow bowl and add the water. Mix to combine. In another shallow bowl empty the packet of crusting crumbs. Dip each ravioli in the egg wash and then press into the crumbs. Set aside on a plate and continue with the rest until all have been crumbed. Leave for 10-15 minutes.
In a pot or deep fryer, heat the oil. Add the ravioli a few at a time and turn when golden. Drain on paper towels and continue with the rest.
While the ravioli are frying, heat the all of the ingredients for the marinara sauce and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve the ravioli hot with the hot marinara sauce. Enjoy!
