A spice mix commonly used as a base to curries with the addition of other spices & flavours for different dishes.

Suggested Uses

The base spice mix of most Indian curries, to which other spices are added to individualise a dish.

Combine with unsweetened yoghurt, grated fresh ginger, crushed garlic and lemon juice for tandoori chicken marinade.

Can be used in place of mixed spice in sweet baking for a different flavour

The Variety

Unlike westernised Curry Powder, Garam Masala is a traditional Indian spice mix at the heart of most dishes. My blend contains Cinnamon, Coriander, Bay leaves, Cumin, Anise, Fennel, Clove and Ginger.
