Great with fast cooking meats like Schnitzels, Chicken tenders, Fish fillets. Transform vegetables like chunky Potato or Kumara fries, Mushrooms, Egg plant or Courgette rounds. Perfect for making bite size party food irresistible.
Option 1: Marinate the food to be coated in milk or buttermilk for an hour or two (even better leave overnight).
Place food into a bowl with plenty of the coating and toss until completely covered with no gaps.
Shake off excess coating and cook straight away, either by Deep frying,
Shallow fry, Air fry or Bake in a hot oven 200°C on a well oiled oven tray until golden brown and cooked through.
Option 2: Dip the food in a little milk or water then into the coating and toss until well coated. If coating isn’t thick enough then dip the food item in a bowl with a little milk and egg beaten together, use tongs or a fork to drain excess liquid then drop into the bowl of coating and toss.
