Upcycle Spicy Pumpkin Seeds
STOP! Don’t throw away those pumpkin seeds. Toast them up and cover them in flavour to make Upcycle Spicy Pumpkin Seeds. Perfect to add to a cheeseboard, for on top of steamed vegetables or just to have as a great snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Pumpkin Seeds
- 20g Butter
- 2 tsp Mrs Rogers Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Mrs Rogers Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Mrs Rogers Ground Cumin
- Mrs Rogers Baking Paper (for lining tray)
Directions
- Using a sieve, place in the pumpkin seeds and wash as much of the stringy flesh off the seeds. Spread out and dry them using a paper towel.
- Preheat you oven to 180°C. On a lined baking tray, put the butter and spices and heat in the oven. Once they have melted, stir together and add the pumpkins seeds. Stir again.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes, occasionally stirring them. Remove once browned and cool completely on the tray. Store in an airtight container.
