Cinnamon Afghan Biscuits
Afghan Biscuits are a Kiwi classic, but we've spiced them up a little!
Ingredients
- 200g Butter, softened
- ½ cup Sugar
- 1 ¼ cups Plain Flour
- 2 teaspoons Mrs Rogers Ground Cinnamon
- 2 ½ cups Cornflakes
- ¼ cup Mrs Rogers Cocoa Powder
- 200g Cooking Chocolate
- Mrs Rogers Baking Paper (for lining tray)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder and cinnamon to the butter mixture and stir until mixed. Add the cornflakes and stir into the biscuit mixture.
- On the lined baking tray, place spoonfuls of the mixture and push down until they look like a biscuit shape. Place in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the tray. Melt the cooking chocolate in the microwave on short burst, stirring in between. Ice the biscuits with the melted chocolate.
