Ingredients
-
3 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
-
1 tbsp Water
-
2 tbsp Peanut Butter
-
1 tbsp Brown Sugar
-
2 tsp Rice Wine Vinegar
-
1 tsp Minced Garlic
-
2 tsp Sesame Oil
-
2 tsp Tomato Paste
-
3 tsp Sriracha Sauce (or similar hot sauce)
-
ยฝ tsp Mrs Rogers Chinese Five Spice
-
1 tsp Mrs Rogers Black Peppercorns, freshly ground
-
โ tsp Mrs Rogers Cayenne Pepper (optional)
Directions
Put all ingredients in a blender or bullet and blend until smooth. Use as a marinade or sauce. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 3 months.
Recipe Note
The amount of cayenne pepper to add too the sauce is a matter of personal preference, we recommended starting with a small pinch and adding more to suit your taste. The goal is to achieve your desired level of heat without overpowering the sauce's complex sweet and savoury flavours.
It is much easier to add more spice than to reduce the heat once it's mixed through the sauce.
