Directions
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Add the flour and yeast, and mix until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5-10 minutes.
Place the dough in a well-oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
Prepare the Filling:
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle. - Spread softened butter over the surface of the dough, and then sprinkle evenly with the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Form the Rolls:
Roll up the dough tightly from the long end, and cut into 12 large rolls. Place the rolls in a lightly greased baking pan.
Cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes until nearly doubled in size.
Bake the Rolls:
Preheat your oven to 200°C.
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
Prepare the Icing:
While the rolls are baking, beat together the butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
Finish and Serve:
Once the rolls are finished baking, allow them to cool slightly before spreading generously with cream cheese icing.
Serve warm and enjoy!
