Baking

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Mrs Rogers Dough baking mix (300g)
  • 1 1/4 cups thick greek yogurt (make sure its thick, you don’t want it to be watery)
  • 1 egg (for the wash on top of the bagels)
  • Mrs Rogers Baking Paper (for lining tray)
  • 1 tsp Mrs Rogers white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mrs Rogers black sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mrs Rogers sea salt flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Mrs Rogers onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Mrs Rogers garlic powder

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 18°0C fan bake.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add in 2 cups of dough mix and thick greek yogurt. Mix together until a dough forms. The dough will be sticky.
  3. Dust the bench with some of the left over dough flour. Cut into 6 equal parts. Roll into long logs. Shape into bagel and pinch the ends to join together to make a complete circle.
  4. Transfer to a lined baking tray. Lightly beat the egg and use a brush to coat the top of the bagels. Sprinkle over the bagel seasoning.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes. If they aren’t quite golden enough, turn up the oven to 250°C and bake for a further 2-3 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool down for 10 minutes before eating (this gives the dough time to firm up).
  7. Best eaten fresh or toasted the next day.
