A hearty meal with delicious Italian herb flavours & hints of smokey bacon & garlic. Simply prepare meatballs & pair with a quality pasta sauce & spaghetti for a quick no fuss meal.

Yields1 Serving
 500 g Pork Mince
1 tbsp Mrs Rogers Tuscan Seasoning or Italian Herbs
 2 Bacon, finely chopped
 1 Onion, finely diced
 2 Garlic cloves, crushed
 1 Egg
  cup Breadcrumbs
Small bunch fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1

Combine all ingredients in a bowl & from mix into balls.

2

Heat a dash of Olive Oil in a frying pan (you don't need much added oil due to the bacon). Omit oil if you are using a non-stick pan.

3

Brown meatballs thoroughly on all sides for 5 minutes.

4

It is at this stage you want to add your pasta sauce and cook for 10-15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through. If not incorporating into a sauce, cover pan and continue heating for 10-15 minutes, turning often until juices run clear.

5

Perfect as part of an Italian tasting platter at parties, as well as a deliciously simple meal.

HINTS AND TIPS;
Use lean beef or venison as a healthier fat reduced option; use as a base for delicious Tuscan Burger Patties; for an authentic dish, make your own tomato sauce & fresh pasta.
