Homemade Sausage Rolls

These are the best sausage rolls EVER!!! Don’t try another recipe until you have tried this one because it is kid, husband and friends approved!

 1 tbsp Olive Oil
 2 tsp Minced Garlic
 1 Onion, finely diced
 2 rashes Bacon, finely diced
 2 tsp Mrs Rogers Fennel Seeds
 500 g Pork Mince
 3/4 cup Mrs Rogers Panko Breadcrumbs
 1 tsp Mrs Rogers Fine Pink Himalayan Salt
 5 sheets Puff Pastry, thawed
 2 Eggs
 1/4 cup Mrs Rogers Black Sesame Seeds

In a frypan, fry the oil and fennel seeds on a medium heat until fragrant. Add the onion and bacon and cook until the onion is soft. Remove from heat and set aside.

Preheat the oven to 180C°. In a bowl, combine the pork mince, panko crumbs, 1 egg , salt and bacon mix with your hands. Divide into 5 sections. Beat the last egg with a little water and set aside. With each pastry sheet, place one of the meat sections along from one side of the sheet to the other. Press the meat tightly and evenly so that when it’s rolled, it will look like an un-cooked sausage roll. Brush some of the egg wash on the edge and tightly roll the pastry up. Set aside and continue with the other sheets and meat filling. Cut into desired roll sizes and place on a lined baking tray. Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle the black sesame seeds over the rolls. Bake for 30mins until golden.
