Homemade Hoisin Sauce

Looking for a yummy sauce or marinade to have with duck? This Homemade Hoisin Sauce is really quick to make and is great because you can adjust the flavours to suit your tastes. This sauce uses Mrs Rogers Chinese Five Spice (http://bit.ly/mrsrogers_chinesefivespice) to add that special depth of flavour and if you like, spice it up a little more by using Mrs Rogers Cayenne Pepper (http://bit.ly/mrsrogers_cayenne) to add that kick.

 3 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
 1 tbsp Water
 2 tbsp Peanut Butter
 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
 2 tsp Rice Wine Vinegar
 1 tsp Minced Garlic
 2 tsp Sesame Oil
 2 tsp Tomato Paste
 3 tsp Sriracha Sauce (or similar hot sauce)
 ½ tsp Mrs Rogers Chinese Five Spice
 1 tsp Mrs Rogers Black Peppercorns, freshly ground

Put all ingredients in a blender or bullet and blend until smooth. Use as a marinade or sauce.

Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 3 months.
