Curried Sausages

Cooking good food is a time-honoured tradition that runs deep in the veins of most family meals. The best memories come from those shared around the dinner table, where you can feast on everything from Shepard’s Pie to Curried Sausages and feel like everyone's coming together to have some tasty treats.

The smells as well as tastes are what make these dishes so memorable; it reminds us all how much we enjoy being there for each other when times get tough or happy...

 1 tbsp Olive Oil
 800g thin Beef Sausages
 1 large Brown Onion, thinly sliced
 2 Carrots, peeled, thinly sliced
 2 tsp Mrs Rogers Garlic Powder
 1 tbsp Mrs Rogers Curry Powder
 1 Apple, peeled and grated
 2 tsp Mrs Rogers Chicken Stock
 2 cups Water
 1 cup Frozen Peas
 1 Tbsp Flour
 Salt and pepper to taste

Heat the oil and fry the sausages until browned. Remove.

Fry the onions and carrot and cook until soft. Add the garlic powder and curry powder and stir. Mix into the water the stock and flour. Stir until there are no lumps. Add the grated apple and stock mixture and stir. Return the sausages and cover. Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Stir in the peas and taste the sauce. Season to taste. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes until the peas are warmed.

Serve with creamy mashed potato.
