Bagels
2 cups Mrs Rogers Dough base (300g)
1 1/4 cups thick greek yogurt (make sure its thick, you don’t want it to be watery)
1 egg (for the wash on top of the bagels)
Optional - make your own bagel seasoning
 1 tsp white sesame seeds
 1/2 tsp black sesame seeds
 1/2 tsp sea salt flakes
 1/2 tsp onion powder
 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Makes 4 servings
Dairy and nut free. Vegan option.
1

Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees C fan bake.

2

In a large mixing bowl, add in 2 cups of dough mix and thick greek yogurt. Mix together until a dough forms. The dough will be sticky.

3

Dust the bench with some of the left over dough flour. Cut into 6 equal parts. Roll into long logs. Shape into bagel and pinch the ends to join together to make a complete circle.

4

Transfer to a lined baking tray. Lightly beat the egg and use a brush to coat the top of the bagels. Sprinkle over the bagel seasoning.

5

Bake for 25-30 minutes. If they aren’t quite golden enough, turn up the oven to 250 degrees C and bake for a further 2-3 minutes.

6

Allow to cool down for 10 minutes before eating (this gives the dough time to firm up).

7

Best eaten fresh or toasted the next day.
