Oregano

Available in
15g ECO Pack

Oregano, or wild marjoram comes from Europe. It is often confused with Marjoram but is more pungent.

Suggested Uses

Add midway through cooking but extra quantities will be required to compensate for heat loss.

It works better for meat dishes than marjoram with a sweet spicy effect.

The Variety

Oregano, Origanum vulgare, is a perennial herb in the mint family.
It is native to western and south-western Eurasia and the Mediterranean region.

For Your Appreciation

Oregano is an important ingredient in Italian cooking and is widely used in tomato based dishes, on pizza and pasta sauces, with vegetables and with cheese.
