Oregano has been featured in overseas media recently in regards to being bulked up with cheaper olive and sumac leaves. We have had ours inspected by a food technologist and backed up by declarations that ours is 100% oregano leaf.

It is naturally dried, Halal & Kosher certified and contain no additives or preservatives.

Oregano is closely related to the herb marjoram & is also known as wild marjoram. It has an aromatic, warm and slightly bitter taste. It is most prominently used as the “pizza herb” in modern cuisine but is widely used in traditional Mediterranean cuisine, most commonly used in roast, grilled or fried meat & vegetable dishes, but, unlike a lot of Italian herbs, its flavours also combine well with spicy foods.

Oregano also makes a delicious condiment when mixed with Paprika, Black Pepper & Salt.

Oregano is a source of thymol and carvacol – two antibacterial agents that fight off infection, and is very high in antioxidants
