Turmeric Meringues

Meringues are such an easy dessert to make and you can add cocoa powder, coffee and mint as flavours...but how about adding a little Mrs Rogers Turmeric!

 2 Egg Whites (save the yolks to add to a custard)
 ½ cup Caster Sugar
 1 tsp Mrs Rogers Turmeric

Preheat oven to 120C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

In a clean, dry bowl beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry. Add 1/2 the sugar and beat until it's completely dissolved. Add the rest of the sugar and the turmeric and continue to beat until the sugar is dissolved.

On the lined baking trays, place teaspoonfuls of the meringue spread evenly. Cook for 1 hour, turning the meringues over half way. Remove from oven and leave on the bench until cooled. Store in an airtight container if there are any left!
