Poached Pears with a Buttery Sauce....yes please!
In the slow cooker, mix the cornflour and sugar together to help break up any lumps. Add the lemon juice, vanilla essence, salt, cinnamon sticks, star anise and water and stir until combined. Stir in the sugar and cornflour mixture until combined.
Place the pears in the juice and turn slow cooker on high for 2 hours. Turn pears over, stir juices around and cook for another hour.
Serve hot with cream or ice cream and a sprinkle of Mrs Rogers Ceylon Cinnamon Ground.
