    Oregano is sometimes called wild marjoram as it is often confused with Marjoram, however it has a more pungent flavour.

    – Oregano gives a better flavour in meat dishes than marjoram, it gives a sweet spicy effect.
    – Add midway through cooking but extra quantities will be required to compensate for heat loss.
    – Oregano is widely used in tomato based dishes, on pizza, in pasta sauces, with vegetables and with cheese.

    Oregano, Origanum vulgare, is a perennial herb in the mint family.
    It is native to western and south-western Eurasia and the Mediterranean region.
