Thanks for your question. Our Rock Salt is 100% New Zealand Sea Salt.

As the particles are quite large they are suited to use in a Salt Mill but can also be used in cooking. I suggest add fairly early to cooking as the larger particles will take a little longer to dissolve.

You can also grind the salt to use in baking and cooking – in this case use the same amount as you would standard table salt.

Rock salt can add a nice flavour and crunch to the top of home made breads (especially yummy when sprinkled with rosemary as well).
